I'm Tyler Barker. I live in Melbourne, where I'm building Prototape for musicians.

I wrote my first line of code in 2015, after wondering who was making all the audio recording software I'd become so fond of. After finishing my studies in computer science, and about 6 years working for various startups, I decided it was time to write music software of my own full-time. That's how Prototape was born.

But building a B2C SaaS company - especially alone - takes time. To keep the dream alive, meet new people, and continue broadening my expertise, I'm also taking on some freelance work.

I'm particularly skilled with Elixir, with multiple years experience using Phoenix LiveView. I also write loads of TypeScript, primarily using React, usually with TailwindCSS. Over the past few years I've also been getting into systems programming using Rust and Zig.

    Once I've read your issue, I'll reach out to the email you've provided to schedule a 30 minute requirements meeting. This is a chance for me to ask any questions I have about your project, and for you to ask any questions you have about me.

    Description
    After our meeting, I'll put together a quote and proposal for you. This will include a breakdown of the work I'll be doing, the timeline for delivery, and the cost. If you're happy with everything, you'll sign the proposal, pay a deposit, and I'll get started. Happy days!
